The timing of Bill's playing of The Last Post as Tremlett took the final wicket

In Melbourne Aussie copper (great guy) Tony kissing 'Queens' hand, on screen seconds later, barmy army sang Youre getting sacked in the morning. Priceless. But nothing beats last post being played at Sydney & final wicket falling immediately!

 gotta say it was one of the funniest and most enjoyable weeks that I've had to 'work' in 25 years. The 'Queen' didn't seem as good looking in real life as she does on the telly, but still quite attractive in her own special way! Great to also catch up with some of you in Sydney. Please take care of that urn. I expect you all to be polite when you hand it back to me in 2013..... regards, Tony

Just too many to single out, but my personal favourite was the presentation interview at the SCG between Ali Cook and Taylor.

Taylor asked Cooky............'How did you manage to score so many runs..........?'

Right on cue, 15,000 people then sang...........'He bowls to the left, he bowls to the right, that Mitchell Johnson his bowling is s***e'

Totally priceless.

Let me get this right.
You were working as a police officer at the MCG and met up with some friendly Barmy Army types while on duty and have taken the trouble to join this site and pass on your regards.

Well played Tony.

Boozing it up with the players after the Melboune win. Something money cannot buy.

Good to see you in with the Barmy Army at the SCG Tony, enjoy your forthcoming "work" trip to the Uk! Feel free to post on here if you need any advice about getting to see some cricket and football while you are over here.

Thanks mate, will do, April is looking a real possibility now and would love to keep in touch if possible. Look like staying near 'Putney' (wherever that is!!) All jokes aside, I haven't stopped talking about my Barmy experience. Colleagues thought I was quite mad going to Sydney for a day, I think they were just jealous!! I've already requested the Boxing Day test in 3 years' time, might even have a few songs of my own by then.... Worked at the one dayer at the MCG last weekend, different type of crowd there!! Did you get the scores over in the mother country??

Thanks, I thought joining the forum would be safer for me than actually joining the Army... Don't want to get thrown out of the colony!!

Know wonder the lads liked you, bit of banter there fella........very unusual for an Aussie :P

Seriously mate, nice one........general feeling amongst us is that most security, be it police or security guards at the cricket is pretty heavy handed in both of our countries. I'm sure you did your job, and if you did it well enough to make a few friends along the way, that would suggest you did it very well I'd think 8-)

Welcome to our home.....
