last Ashes series at the SCG....first day was pretty crowded but after that, quite a bunch of us sat half way down bay 16 or 17 from memory. nobody bothered us about being in their seats. could be a lot of opposition supporters....( the oi oi oi mob) had other things to do. there were plenty of vacant seats all around us. and just to the right of us were the Barmies in bay 14 I think. behind everybody are the beer outlets. and you can stand with a lot of other England supporters in the shade and watch the game just behind the seating.
got a bit warm in mid afternoon so I took a beer and wandered up into the stands where a nice cool breeze was blowing and watched the game from there for a while. no one bothered. you shouldn't have too much trouble getting out of a dry zone to drink with England supporters.
From memory....I can't recall too many movement restrictions other than around the members area.

Thanks mate, that's good to know! :)

Hi all, we have found some tickets for Sydney Day 1 at the "Get me in" and "Seatwave" websites. We are looking at Block 27 for £109 each (3 tickets).

They appear to be ticket exchange sites. We can pay for delivery but it's only guaranteed by a week before the event (when we will be in oz) Has anyone used them here? Good/bad experiences? Any info appreciated.

saw your post this morning smich..been having a look around the sites here in OZ

can't believe the prices they are asking you guys ( or anybody ) to pay. bordering on piracy.

there are a range of tickets for sale...found this site also........appears to be in UK.

Thanks for taking a look and replying. Funnily enough, that link to "Tiqets" eventually steered me to the Seatwave and GetMeIn sites! Must be the same tickets I reckon.

GetMeIn looks like it's part of Ticketmaster and there is a 100% guarantee, so I'm pretty confident. I know they are pricey but they are good seats (nearly behind the bowlers arm) and in any case, if your going to be a bear, be a grizzly :D

Thanks again

Hi all - have spotted some tickets for the Brisbane test available on the telegraph online - never been before so wondering whether these are designated seats for England fans?? (not on a barmy army package) - if not, got any tips on where to sit to have a few Merry Englanders around us? Many Thanks!
