Only six months away. Just seen flights for £459 with Air Qatar which seems reasonable. No fixtures announced yet mind. Ticket prices aside could be a pretty cheap tour. Anyone any idea what prices to expect for tickets?

The most expensive seats for the 2010 tests were a shade under five pounds (with ground admission at twenty pence), I'd hope prices remain at those levels in order to fill the grounds.

Assuming the tournament is held in Bangladesh I can't see ticket prices being an issue. The last World Cup was priced according to what they thought locals could afford. The ICC seems to have learned from the disastrous 2007 World Cup where everything was geared towards extracting maximum revenue from tourists. Unfortunately for them the tourists were put off by the high prices and didn't show up.

Whether the tournament is hosted in Bangladesh is another matter. Already the Cox's Bazar ground has been scaled down and is now only scheduled to be hosting Women's matches. Meanwhile the BCB has asked the ICC for a 15 day extension to its September 30th deadline to get work on the Sylhet ground finished.

If it does go ahead in Bangladesh it should indeed make for a very affordable trip. Quite an experience too!

I can agree with what Harvey has said. I attended both the last two world T20's in WI and SL. Tickets for both were extremely cheap ; around $5 for early rounds and around $20 for semis and final. In both cases tickets could be purchased on-line, and collected at the grounds. Keep an eye on the ICC website.
Not sure if there is a ladies competition at the same time, but last time in SL those games were free.

I've never been to a "tournament" before so don't know what the ticket strategy is. I mean do you buy semi and final tickets before you know if your team is going to play. Say England make the final how would I go about getting a ticket, presumably - even in Bangladesh - that would cost a fair bit at the last minute. NOt too fussed about T20s but I really fancy a cricket trip to Bangles so I may yet give this a whirl.

Best to take a gamble and buy your final (and possibly even SF) tickets before you even know who's in them. I can't see them being crazily expensive. Not by English standards anyway. If you're out there for the whole tourney, you might as well watch the final whoever's playing.

Yea, buy them all as soon as they come on sale. I had tickets for both semis and final in SL. With a final between SL and India, I was offered a small fortune ($200+) for them, even though they weren't for sale, such was the demand. You are a gambling man ; if I was you I'd definitely buy them up front.

To be honest I am very unlikely to do this (because it is T20, not because it is Bangladesh). I really wanna go to Bangles for our next Test Series though so will be keeping an eye on this forum to see what advice/plans people have.

Be prepared, its an experience. A good one barring the 'Hunters'. (Fosters look alike which tastes even worse)
