Windies don't have any decent test match players.

Just so I can get it out of the way early, can I have a moan about the venues in advance. I predict Jamaica, Antigua and Barbados.

Never thought I would see the day where someone had a moan about having to go to three caribbean islands :)

I don't mind going to 3 caribbean islands, it's the 3 in question that are the problem.

Everyone else gets to play cricket somewhere begining with St, we get to play in the yardie capital of the world, and a ground which is probably closer to your home than your hotel.

Barbados is lovely, but a change would be nice.

I quite fancy this. Three tests might all be back to back do you reckon? Would be 21 days, 3 weeks off Could do jus two i suppose. As usual for me, it revolves around costs.

So how much for...

1 night's basic as possible accommodation? Do they have hostels out there?
A five day test pass?
A beer in the ground
A beer in a reasonable looking bar outside the ground?
A basic, filling meal in a pub or cafe?
A short flight(or ferry) between, say, barbados and jamaica?

Me and 3 mates are very interested in doing this trip. Looking at doing 2 weeks to see a few days of two of the tests.

Based on peoples previous experience touring the caribbean when do you think they will announce the tour dates?

Ask again in about 12 months time.

Tickets will be easy to get, but you need to keep an eye out for the tour dates if you are going to book flights / accommodation with the likes of Virgin / BA. The rates will go up the day after the tour dates are announced.

LGW-Barbados rtn £550 min
Barbados-Jamaica 2000KM & no ferries (£250 O?W)
Barbados-Antigua £140 O/W (no ferries)
No backpackers/Hostels
Cheapest accom £25/night if you can find a single room.
Tickets..who knows? Probably looking at £25/£30 a day
Beer £1.50 a pint....more in the ground
Food..cheap.
Hope this helps.

Cheers mp. More expensive than I'd anticipated then.
