went to the oval yesturday and came away feeling a bit let down. i thought england just looked a bit tyered in general. it was a close finish but there was allways to much to do. i was sat in the peter may stand close to were i was sat for the ashes and i was exspecting the same sort of crowd but it was the complete opposit it seemed to be a mish mash of people it fellt like a football match not a game of cricket one chap sat by me started to get the (every were we go) song started and some pissed up yobs behind him just shouted him down. it topped it off for me when a group persisted in calling HUSSEYS mom a CUNT! which imo is going to far with a few kids in the stand. so at this point i had to say somthing and that didnt go down well and after that we had endless ENGALAND-ENGALAND-ENGALAND alot sat behind me didnt even see the last 4 overs i hope the next two i go to this summer wont be the same. im not going over the old threds that have been discused on here just telling you how i fellt |

Was in the OCS stand yesterday and left very dissapointed. Not because we lost (I've seen us lose before and will see us lose again) but because of the effot that was put in yesterday. Was more like a test game then a odi.Was very shocked that we ran them as close as we did.As for the crowd,I can't comment because i did not hear much all day/evening ( was sooooooooooooo quiet ). Will be at Lords tomorrow ( hangover permitting ) |

It really is such a spectacular anti climax to the summer... and Im sure if many fans feel that way the players must too! Imagine coming through a wonderful hard fought test series and winning the ashes only to be thrown into a long series of meaningless ODIs and 20/20s so soon. Utter dross. Yesterday I listened to BBC radio londons coverage of Glos against Surrey at work instead of paying attention to the ODI and it really then hit home how little I give a shit about this series. |

Too much cricket? It does make sense to have a ODI series against the convicts though now as there is the Champions Trophy coming up. We may feel differently about ODIs as we do about Tests but the rest of the world do not share our feelings and the grounds will be full. It's about money isn't it? However if we beat the convicts then great but if we don't, well I won't lose any sleep over it. Any win against the Aussies will do for me though but tomorrow I'll be at the London Vegan Festival. Come on down! Talking of dross, what the hell is going on at Surrey? |
