After his first ODI performance, now left out for a batsman, yet he's proved he can bat as well. Leg spinners can turn the ball on all surfaces, would the Aussies have left out Warne at any stage of his development? Think, if we had to have another batsman, I'd have (contoversially) left out Swann, because Rashid is going to be an asset for a very long time if we actually play him everytime we can |

Was at the Oval on Friday and I thought he played well with bat and ball. Leaving him out suggests a lack of confidence from the management. Also doesn't this leave us a bowler light? |

It could be a case of horses for courses, or maybe Andy Flower is planning to have a serious crack at the Champions Trophy and wants to look at different options. |
