If you're the coaches blue eyed boy you get rested, all others are dropped. Difficult to see why Colli should need a rest, not like he's spent all summer running up and down between the wickets. |

Wonder if it's anything to do with a big party in the North East tomorrow night..? You mean the Durham Punk Festival with a special appearance from Steve Ignorant? |

13.4 overs, 78-1 England..... anyone see any reason NOT to take the batting powerplay in overs 15-20 and make hay while the sun shines? certainly seeing this opportunity today I will be gutted if we use it in the last 5 overs again with 2 bowlers at the crease (although it is possible that Rashid would enjoy it!) |

Hmm sub-question 2.... does hauritz coming on change anything? Are we too afraid of the generating our own pace on the ball during the "middle overs" to keep the field in and go the hell after him! |

Not a happy man then....... England are so formulaic with the batting Power play, I agree they should have taken it earlier today, it is infuriating that for the 4th ODI in a row they have waited till the last 10 overs to take it when there are only bowlers to come to the crease. Fair enough they fear losing wickets during the power play, but atleast by taking it earlier a wicket brings a "batsman" to the crease..... 230 may be the first innings average at lords, but 275 had seemed realistic with the start England got.... No boundaries for 50 odd balls is really not god enough. |
