passed 300, just after lunch, 5 down. Bell full of confidence, Bresnan in at 7, ahead of Swann/Broad |

Apalling day. Whoever was responsible for the (lack of ) tactics today should be dragged out of the a/c room they're hiding in and be forced to explain the thinking to those who had to endure it. Any chance of a result, barring an inexplicable collapse, has now gone. 2 pointless days to kill. |

I think the bangladesh knock dictated the tactics today, especially as were one up in the series |

I was at Cape Town and it simply cemented my thought that he is our best batsmen technique wise. As Kev says, the mental side has been lacking but that is coming too. Top top player who should be a regular in the middle order for the next 5 years or more. |

So what if he's not there, not everyone has the chance to follow England all over the world. |
