Just too many to single out, but my personal favourite was the presentation interview at the SCG between Ali Cook and Taylor. Taylor asked Cooky............'How did you manage to score so many runs..........?' Right on cue, 15,000 people then sang...........'He bowls to the left, he bowls to the right, that Mitchell Johnson his bowling is s***e' Totally priceless. |

You were working as a police officer at the MCG and met up with some friendly Barmy Army types while on duty and have taken the trouble to join this site and pass on your regards. Well played Tony. |

Boozing it up with the players after the Melboune win. Something money cannot buy. |

Feel free to post on here if you need any advice about getting to see some cricket and football while you are over here. |

Thanks mate, will do, April is looking a real possibility now and would love to keep in touch if possible. Look like staying near 'Putney' (wherever that is!!) All jokes aside, I haven't stopped talking about my Barmy experience. Colleagues thought I was quite mad going to Sydney for a day, I think they were just jealous!! I've already requested the Boxing Day test in 3 years' time, might even have a few songs of my own by then.... Worked at the one dayer at the MCG last weekend, different type of crowd there!! Did you get the scores over in the mother country?? |

Thanks, I thought joining the forum would be safer for me than actually joining the Army... Don't want to get thrown out of the colony!! |

Know wonder the lads liked you, bit of banter there fella........very unusual for an Aussie Seriously mate, nice one........general feeling amongst us is that most security, be it police or security guards at the cricket is pretty heavy handed in both of our countries. I'm sure you did your job, and if you did it well enough to make a few friends along the way, that would suggest you did it very well I'd think Welcome to our home..... __________________ He bowls to the left, He bowls to the right, That Mitchell Johnson, His bowling is shite... |
