I know it seems obscene to be even thinking about this . . . but, have been speaking with some friends who were interested in going to Australia for the next Ashes tour. In the past I have travelled independently, but was thinking that we might book through Barmy Army next time. As a very general guide, what sort of costs would it have been for say, Melbourne and Sydney for the tour just goine. Economy flights and mid-range accommodation preferred â" not hostels, but not 5 star either. Any information or, better still, links would be much appreciated |

Apologies if this has been asked/answered before, but am I right in saying the next tour down under is 2013/14? Also does anyone know when the barmy army tours tend to open for booking? Cheers. |

Believe it or not there are plenty of other tours the barmy army will be arranging/attending before the next Ashes Come back and have another look on this website around Easter 2014ish |

The structure may change, ie, ODI series before the tests but I can't see em moving the Ashes. Somebody will be touring over Christmas and New year regardless. We have just had an Ashes before this world cup with plenty of time in between so what difference would it make? |

Probably cash? I doubt whether people would be able to go on an Ashes tour, then the World Cup in the same country a few months later. |

Yes, it's confirmed. We'll have back-to-back Ashes for the first time since 1975. |
