And I was especially keen on the whole concept of having no beer on day 1 of a test match. Don't forget the many tress growing through the cracks in the stands! As regards to the SCG? Nice museum maybe, everything else - big shit hole. The catering and service at Edgar Street is better. Got an SCG survey sent to my email today. I obliged by filling it out, giving the place the slating it deserves!! |

My first time at the SCG to watch a game. My random observations: The best cricket ground I have been to (better than MCG) Slow at serving (uncaring, I thought) Very helpful; I bought ticketys at £70, we got to our seats and they had a resticted view. We asked to be moved and it was done quickly and without argument. We had really good seats I would go again (after I have visited Adelaide & Perth) |

Which other grounds have you been to that you consider inferior? |

We got eight at 60Rs, the next eight cost 70Rs and the third they tried 100Rs, at which point I f....d them off, gave them 70Rs again and took 12 for their cheek ... wonderful day. Turned out the increase was purely cos they had insufficient change. Ah the sub-continent. For my two penneth, Sydney is a very nice ground, its the people in it and their archaic rules that spoil it. Newlands has it, the backdrop makes it simply unbeatable for my money. |
