Sorry to do this on the forum, especially as I have mentioned it in a thread below, but we are a group of 6 (5 English Lads and one Aussie) coming over to Colombo for a birthday & to watch the cricket. We currently don't have tickets, and would like any information on what our best chances are of sourcing some before Saturday. Will it be a case of turning up on the day and offering cash to people for their tickets, or will there be touts selling them? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks. |

There'll always be a (black) market where demand exceeds supply and added to the relative low income economy (not everyone in Colombo though!) there will be sellers. Best course of action likely to be engage 'ordinary' locals (staff at hotel, maybe) and put a few feelers out through them. Good luck |

Ask your hotel staff, they'll know someone who knows someone. Failing that, try just asking on the door on the day! |
