If I buy a jacket from a retailer for £200 and then a couple of weeks later they reduce it in the sales , I can't turn up at the tills and demand the difference back even though I still want to wear the coat. Anyway, that story has no relevance to cricket, but I couldn't get a refund from the shop in Birmingham!!!! |

Tommo Wrote: £65 in Edrich Lower if you ring up but I've heard the view isn't too clever in there.. That's putting it mildly! It's also like sitting in a wind tunnel, and several extra layers of clothing are needed. I can hardly believe they've got the gall to charge that amount to go in there. You can't even see the big screen! Even half that price would be expensive. A better bet if you want a (relatively) affordable ticket is to ask about restricted view seats in the Mound Stand. Avoid the ones with views restricted (or rather obstructed) by the large pillars near the back though! There are several blocks where the Tavern Stand obscures part of the boundary, and those are the seats to go for. |

Ditto for the grandstand seats, from which the giant flagpole obscures part of the boundary. Had cracking seats there for the ashes for £25 a pop. Sadly they seem to have realised they are still good seats this year and are charging £40 for them! Agree too with Harv - avoid the back of the mound stand restricted view. Hard work for your neck to try to see anything at times. |
