Just been on Edgbaston website and there is a 'special offers' tab abover the ground map and it's buy one get one free. Just tried it and it offered me two tickets in Block 21 of Eric Hollies for a total of £60. Fair play to them, £30 is a good deal for a day of Test cricket and the forecast looks excellent for Sunday, unlike the first two days. |

Yeah that was my reckoning for getting days 3 and 4... bit of rain on the first few days and we should get plenty of cricket later in the test! I do think £30 is a decent price for a days test cricket, however I would be really pissed off if I had paid £60 for the same ticket already. They really need to sort it out and get the pricing right first time if they are not to discourage people from booking in advance - I know that I for one will never buy Edgbaston tickets far in advance again now that I know they will put on special offers to get rid of the leftovers! |

Yes you are right, surely anyone who has bought a ticket for Sunday at £60 should now get a £30 refund? Hopefully they will sell a few more for Sunday now with these prices... |

Not suprising the tickets aren't shifting at the original price. I was thinking of going to Lords for the test. Tickets are betwen £80 and £100 at the minute, so think I will stay at home. |

i bought tickets for the bangladesh one day game at edgbaston, then later on they made them buy one get one free , i called the ticket office to tell them i was not happy, they told me that it was an ecb promotion and nothing to do with warwickshire. any low profile games in future i wont be buying early Tommo Wrote: Yes you are right, surely anyone who has bought a ticket for Sunday at £60 should now get a £30 refund? If I buy a jacket from a retailer for £200 and then a couple of weeks later they reduce it in the sales , I can't turn up at the tills and demand the difference back even though I still want to wear the coat. |

Well not quite the same but I know what you are getting at. Does seem a bit harsh for the people who have paid £60 though... |

Absolutely. However I stand by my point that unless they get the ticket prices right in the first place, many people will leave buying tickets until very late to wait for these offers. This adds significant finacial insecurity to the county, worrying to the last minute that there will be no ticket sales. |
