In this instance, I remember reading that he signed for Bexhill because he wanted to play for a club which would let him bat in the top 3! This is typical of a man who works tirelessly even at the parts of his game where he is notoriously weak.

Meanwhile his bowling is little-by-little starting to look really good again at last. He's started winning matches for Sussex now, and I have no doubt whatsoever that he will prove to be an excellent signing for them. He is already a very strong candidate for a place on the plane to Australia as our second spinner, and whether he's selected or not, I'm sure it won't be long before he's back in his rightful place as part of the England set-up once again.

I would fathom in at least ten other factors before even looking at the ICC rankings. Remember, they are the same idiots that 'forgot' to put Swann on the player of the year shortlist!

Don't understand your comment about Bond. Players are removed from the list once they retire, so in the current ratings ( http://www.reliancemobileiccrankings.com/ ) Mohammad Asif is No 3 ranked bowler. Bond is nowhere to be seen.
