Even bowls at a similar pace, too! Anyway, back to Stuart Broad, he's shown that he really is "better than his dad," having just beaten Chris Broad's highest Test score. |

England played a one-day international against Ireland in Belfast last year and during the warm-up most of the England players were mucking about and signing a few autographs. My nipper was desperate to get Trott's as he'd only just broken into the team - but despite loads of shouting and cajoling Trott simply scowled at us and insisted on completing his full practice. He then came over and did some signing - begrudgingly - and then wandered off to prepare for the match. I remember thinking then that this feller meant business. |

The time when Broad has made it is when he is no longre being called the new Flintoff, new Botham, or anything else. Just Stuart Broad, full stop. When that name along is enough we'll know we have a star. |
