When the ball is doing a bit they are a formidable bowling combination and are capable of ripping through any side. Broad's innings will no doubt grab the headlines and it was indeed remarkable, but Trott was just simply outstanding. He was at the crease when the ball was turning corners and kept his head and played what I reckon was by far his best innings for England. A true test batsmen and his patience and shot selection should be an example to the rest of our top order. Don't know about anyone else but I'm getting very very worried about Strauss and his current form slump. Mitchell Johnson will be fancying his chances very highly of removing him early more often than not in the Ashes. |
