Moving away from the unfortunate incidents in the international game... the domestic cricket season is coming to a head... and how so! Story of the day has to be Derbyshire being skittled for 44 all out at Bristol, with James Franklin returning the ridiculous figures of 6-3-14-7! After three overs his figures were 3-3-0-3! Could set up a wonderful promotion race with Glamorgan. Of course, given this bulletin is brought to you by a Glos fan, I shall also be keeping a good eye on Northants this evening playing Yorkshire.... Northants could do us a great favour by beating the Yorkies and then losing to us.... |

Oh bollocks. Glos 30-4 in reply. Commentators are assuring us that the pitch is in perfect condition, even though 14 wickets after 25 overs of championship cricket. Cracking bowling coupled with awful batting. |

Again today the commentators at the ground have made a huge effort to assure everyone listening that there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with the pitch at Bristol.... and that the pitch inspectors cannot take points away for spineless batting on both sides. Bloody awful effort from Glos mind... chasing 125 to win this one, and put us into contention for the second promotion spot, we are (at the time of writing) 35-6.... 36-6!!!!! |

Has a side ever scored as few as 44 in the first innings and still won a first-class game? |
