Commiserations to Somerset who have played some fantastic cricket this season and don't deserve to end up with nothing.
Outside of the Warks/England setup Alfonso Thomas has to be my favourite cricketer, and the attitude he showed when he hit young Keith Barker on the head was first class. He was also savvy enough to use the short pitched ball to get rid of him shortly after.Shame it didn't work out during his spell at Edgbaston.

Fantastic performances from Bell and Tahir (who will be a great loss next season) have brought a superb season of county cricket to a close.Well done to the Bears, only three losses in two years of 40 over cricket is an outstanding squad performance.

An exciting game that deserved to be played in front of the full house we would have seen if it hadn't been for the bizarre decisions firstly to make it a day/night game and secondly to have the final only a week after the semis.

Well done to Warwickshire, but I feel gutted for Somerset. Even all the Gloucestershire fans I know had put rivalries to one side and wanted them to win. As for Warwickshire, it must have been quite anticlimactic doing their lap of honour after the presentation, since judging by the TV pictures most of their fans seemed to have already left the ground to catch the last train home.

Bell showed maturity and class :!:

Difficult for those in power to ignore the empty seats, clearly seen on TV. First time I can remember a one-day final not being a sell-out in recent times. Hope it prompts a re-think

I was with the travelling Somerset support at Lords and desperatley wanted Somerset to win but we can have no complaints - Bell's knock was class and even though Somerset fought hard with the ball we all knew the game was up when Turner was brought on near the end?!

It was a crying shame about all the empty seats, it is a beautiful ground and it was a beautiful day, all of which seemed to be wasted by the crazy scheduling.

I'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate Warks on their win as I was in no state to on Sat?!

Also a big well done to Somerset on a great season...they did us proud!! :)
