still ploughing through county fixture list to see if there's a meetup for us all in there somewhere...

Cheltenham
Gloucestershire v Kent in the championship 20-23/07/2011
Gloucestershire v Notts in the friends prove 24/07/2011

I'm back in blighty for it, looking at atleast 1 day, likely to be Friday 22nd.

I notice, that once again a majority of championship fixtures are starting Monday, Tuesday or Wednesdays, mean little if no chance of play over the weekend!!!! The only people I know who get to watch loads of county championship cricket are retired or postmen!!!

Meeting place?

Yorkshire going very well indeed, if Andrew Gale keeps this sort of form up he's going to hard to ignore.

Ali Cook scoring big runs again as well, he's a different player compared to last summer.

I had a cracking day out at Derby yesterday.

Strangely so, since I've heard nothing but bad things about the ground there. I found it very pleasant and much better than expected.

Not such a good day for Middlesex though, who surrendered a sizeable advantage. Going into day 3 it's anyone's game.

Just after I said Yorkshire were doing well! Good grief, that's an England-style batting collapse

Warwickshires Varun Chopra is averaging 233 with the bat at the moment, with scores of 210, 33 and currently 223 not out against Worcester!!!!!
