I wonder if it will cause Slurrey to abandon their radical experiment of preparing a result pitch at the Gasworks, so they can go back to boosting their points tally with bore draws like they've done for the past few seasons? I can't see the members being too happy with only getting 3 days' worth of free tea and coffee. ;)

A good win for The Middle, too. Nothing wrong with the Lord's pitch, as big 10th wicket partnerships and the performance of the Middlesex top order in the fourth innings proved.

Harv,

I do enjoy your little witticisms whenever you talk about The Rey. Nice to see you taking such an interest though.

To be honest we have been really crap for the last few years but hopefully we are on the slight upward turn this year.

Will you be at the Kia Oval on Thursday for the T20 knockabout?

Come on The Rey.

Mark

I'm working I'm afraid. I haven't bothered with T20 this year in any case, and neither have Middx judging by the results!

I'm planning on showing up for a day or two when we play down at Guildford in the CC. Pity it clashes with the India game.
