Just back from the Oval. Good day although at 250-3 it looked odds on a draw. I wanted Tendulkar to get his ton, however the crowd screeching everytime he or indeed Mishra hit the ball, let alone scored a run was starting to grate a bit, I am sure they could not tell the difference between the two players so screeched at every shot/block/boundary etc ! Well done to the players and flower etc for a very professional summer and all the best for the winter and into next summer PS: Crouchy, we met up at George's organised NYE in CT ? anyway just wanted to say well done on the news and the best of luck to you and Mrs Crouchy |

Felt the same, at the started I want Tendulkar get his 100th 100 but after the screaming I wasn't too upset to see him fail. What amazed me is that most of the Indians around me (and there were plenty) didn't even clap him off! The batsman were easy to tell apart Mishra was short and fat and Tendulker was even shorter and fatter. You could see how much fitter England were even when sitting in the stands, no wonder we rolled them over so easily, i'd be surprised to see many of the tourists in England again. Still a good day out in the sun with some old friends. |
