After sealing promotion with a day to spare whilst those pink ponces struggled against foxes and pipping the cross-dressing numpties by a single point, yesterday saw the mighty, mighty Surrey win the cup at that North London private members club. The Rey are back, up the workers! |

Yes congratulations on winning that cup, and a big well done to Surrey supporters on successfully implementing the tactic of staying away en masse, thus denuding the ground of atmosphere, and in doing so putting Somerset off their game. Congratulations also on sneaking into the runners-up spot in Division 2, all be it a long way behind runaway champions Middlesex, who would have clinched the title sooner had it not been for more than 2 days being lost to rain in Cardiff the week before. A special mention must go to your young captain Krusty Hamilton-Clown, who brilliantly led his young side (containing Mark Ramprakash, Zander De Bruyn, and Gareth Batty) to victory over what was clearly a highly motivated Derbyshire. He must be really cherishing that souvenir stump he was pictured with as he left the pitch, since his dashing innings of 6 runs off 14 deliveries helped lay an extremely solid foundation for his team's team's eventual success. http://www.espncricinfo.com/county-cric ... 227;page=1 |

Its been a while since our good friend VB has initiated anything on here. Good to see he has not lost is ability to generate an honest well balanced and constructively argued melee from all contributors. Welcome back matey. Just need to get our little Yorkie shipmate (hope he has'nt sunk with his team) back on here with his congratulations to the County Champions, and I'll be happy as the proverbial pig in dung. I thank you. |

Surely the peoples Champions are the Lanky lads Mr. Rhodri? No stars, but a top coach....champions. And they are! Unless you live in Yorkshire of course. In which case....unlucky. Prima donna stars....relegated. Shame on them. |
