Where is everyone going for pre match drinks prior to the group stage opener against Afghanistan? I'll be over there on my own so no plans made thus far. |

Hey Eddie. A mate and I are heading out this week and will be at the Afghanistan game. First time to Sri Lanka so not sure where the best watering holes are. We will be up for joining in anything however! |

Thanks for the replies guys, I was thinking either the cricket bar / lounge or the Inn on the Green (Near Galle Face Green), there isn't much as far as watering holes are concerned near the ground, but plenty within a short tuk tuk ride. Beer in the ground is cheap, circa 60p a go! Where in the ground do you have tickets for? I'm in D block lower section and possibly have a couple of spare tickets to all games being played in Colombo apart from the final. |

As far as I'm aware only the final is sold out, there are always touts around the ground and don't charge stupid prices for tickets but obviously a massive mark up on stated price. Don't think they sell tickets at the ground itself, but at a different ground on Colombo. I'll be heading to Mt Lavina for drinks after games mainly I think as good parties there but a little too far out from the ground for me. Once I get over there I'll post my Sri Lankan phone number on here for people to get in contact with as far as drinks, tickets etc are concerned. |

Flying on this afternoon. Couple of beers before the Afghan in the cricket club cafe sounds good. I will almost certainly have some spares if anyone wants one. Hopefully going to the Pakistan warm up too. Hopefully see some of you there. Dave |
