The police & govt bulldozers moved in this wk, checking the sea front boundaries, as they did in una earlier this yr. Many places have now lost part, if not all, of their beach front bars/restaurants etc. The ones iv seen already affected, well known 2 hik regs, r blue note, mambos, top secret, why not, moon beam, drunken monkey, neelas & surroundin hotels/bars. Other places r quickly takin down anything that encroaches on to the official beach, b4 the expectd return of the 'dozers, in the nxt few days. Any1 over 4 the T20, comin 4 a few days beach-side, now hav a bigger beach. Steve. @im: u plannin on Ind &/or NZ? @bam: bit of a mediocre start? @nsppl: Got told this bein playd now, Singing Swinging Counts - Along The Way |

Yeh, the decking gone along with the patio in front of the indoor restaurant, which is now full of all the furniture, stacked floor 2 ceiling, so u can't get in2 it. The water's edge don't matter, govt officials were using tapes measurin frm the middle of galle rd. Ur place, sunnys, & neighbour, can't remember name, stilll there but sticking out like sore thumb, think it's gonna b nxt. Some of the locals told me that the awful, but mellowing (supposedly), kraut @ blue note actually lay in front of a bulldozer (a la hitch-hiker's guide to the galaxy) b4 bein pulled away by police. Un4tun8ly no pics! Steve. @bam: bad ref 2day, accordin 2 net comm? @nsppl: Evry arrack fuelled, front room/kitchen mini-nighter shud include Benny Harper - Don't Let It Happen To You |

Lacklustre start Stevie. Too much tinkering at the back, playing 3 across and even Vince has looked uncomfortable. The magician looks short of games, late back from the Euro's after playing every game for Spain has out him a couple of weeks behind the rest. Big test this week but it looks as good a time to play 'em as any. Jim and I are prob gonna do Dortmund. Are you doing the winter tours this year? |

C wot happens tue. Hav a gd un in dortmund, some gd bars in city centre or the bricklayers arms nr camp 10 (old SS barracks i think), long time ago when i was there tho. Regards 2 Jimmy. U heard off harry?. Shud b in bom, cal & poss nag. Prob do all NZ but nowt planned yet. Wot u up 2? Steve. |

Was weakening about going to Kolkata but checked the fixtures and theres a little game against the rags at the same time so thats out. Only really fancied Mumbai otherwise but we've already booked a w/e away for my birthday when thats on. Doing NZ, leaving 28th Feb and back on 28th Mar. What have you planned or is it a bit early for you. |

Steve - do you know if neelas / drunken monkey / etc will just be putting out tables and chairs direct on the beach instead? or is that not allowed either! |
