Was thinking today how we might get on in the T20's and ODI's in UAE... Given that we did poorly in the tests which is clearly our strengths the prospect of playing T20's and ODI's in the same conditions could actually fill you with dread given the fact that we will not only need to make runs but make them at the required T20 ODI run rates !  Normally I do see these games as very much after the lords mayors show especially given that so many games are being played these days. But we do have the T20 world cup coming up in the sub-continent so this is a good opportunity to get some practice in these conditions. I appreciate many BA fans dont like T20 in particular but we are the world champions and I for one enjoy all forms of the games especially when we beat oz in the final  Must admit I have not even seen the squad. Appreciate it if someone could post a link to it. Thanks Syd |

We cant do any worse can we! Should be ok! the crowds will be a little better as Asian fans seem to like the ODI / T20 versions of the game,so hopefully good atmosphere. I know people dont like / agree with these versions of the game but i think if there is to be any growth then its likely to be gained in the one day arena. I am looking forward to it anyway (4 days in the sun at least) |

Sure you will have a good time and the crowds will certainly be better as day night and also much more popular than test. Wish I could agree that we cant do any worse!! Appart from the T20 that we won... I was there in west indies and still getting over the shock !! ... our record in T20 and ODIs - in particular is pretty bad on all surfaces yet alone these surfaces....In ODIs I do sometimes we are at least a couple of years behind other teams when it comes to our game plan... Hopefully I am wrong about our prospects and we will do really well.. certainly hope so.. |

Looked a good crowd there yesterday.Probably the most in dubai so far in this series? |
