Anyone know where the official BA will be?

As mentioned earlier, BA HQ suggested Block B, but this section was showing as "sold out" on Kyazoonga last time I looked.

Hello friends...this is Oishik aka Jojo from Kolkata...Well, by reading some yours previous posts related to ticket purchase through online system kyazoonga.com, I would suggest you guys to come down at the Eden Gardens ticket counters and get the tickets physically....

I mean you guys can very well get tickets having consecutive seat numbers just by going there and standing in queues (which I am sure wont be too long considering the ever weakening craziness for Test cricket following T20 madness of IPL and all)...

I went down to Eden Gardens today and there are still tickets available to buy in BLOCK B, 1500Rs for season (all 5 days). Ticket "hole in the wall" is on NE of ground. Good luck.

In addition to the info already posted.

Coming from Kolkota centre the ticket office is pretty much under the first floodlight you come to I walked there in 10 minutes. You will see the comotion as you arrive at the stadium. It will likely be chaos on the day of the test if Mumbai is anything to go by.

As stated Block B tickets are 1500 rp day tickets are 300rp

I wanted a 500rp season ticket in C but the ticket office only had day tickets 100rp so I bought one off a tout selling his complimentaries.

The stand is two tiered b/c 1 being the upper b/c the lower

I had a wander around the stadium, found an open gate and managed to blag a quick nosey inside off a local bobby. Looking at it from the opposite side it appears there is no segregation between B & C. If its anything like Mumbai you could sit where you wanted too as it wasnt a sellout. getting in to the stadium was the hassle but once in you could roam freely in to any stand you wanted too.

Lastly no cameras are allowed in, I put mine down my boxers in Mumbai with no problems everyday, however in typical Indian style if you have a camera phone you can take it in no problem. Likewise newspapers are not allowed but books are! the general gist is once your in the stadium its fine its getting it in that thats the issue.

Yup getting there camera is an issue considering some past incidents where camera flashes were used by some spectators to distract players in few ODIs..

There are no newspapers allowed considering the "past" age old tradition of the Eden Gardens crowd to put them in flames and use it as a torch during any result (win or loss).

As per the safety of the spectators, players and other concerned personnel was concerned, no more newspapers or big mass of papers are allowed to bring inside the stadium.

Considering the same above issue no inflammable things are allowed to bring in be it be lighters or just match sticks.

Yes the fun part is once you are inside the "colosseum", you can very well roam and seat anywhere inside, be it be hopping around tiers of the same block.

Food and beverages are available inside but no alcohol stuffs.

But it is indeed an once in a life time experience to see the game from any block or from any tier of the great Eden Gardens cos the view of the ground from inside is simply superb.
