One of my fave records You can collect the tickets personally from 20th November till 22nd November 2012 from the Office of the Association after producing identity proof like Passport and a copy of the Bank Remittance Sheet. |

My Son and I are flying from Dubai to Mumbai early in the morning on 23 November to catch the first 2 days of the second test. Flight and accommodation all booked (staying at Trident Hotel) but the only problem is tickets. I have been corresponding with Mumbai Cricket assoc who sent me ticket prices (very reasonable) and instructions on how to buy and where to pick up. Only problem being that because we arrive on the first day of the match, we can't get to the pick-up-point, which is only open up until the day before the test (22nd). I have emailed them back about this to ask how we can get tickets in this case, only to be met now by a wall of silence! Does anyone have any suggestions or know of alternative routes to get tickets which can be collected on the 23rd itself? |

You will be able to sort tickets when you get there although i appreciate this isn't ideal as you will probably end up missing half of the first day's play while you try & sort it out! If you know anyone who is going to be there earlier than you ask them to get tickets for you or, failing that, ask your hotel to sort them for you. |

It would really ruin the first half as KEV said. Management is HORRENDOUS!!! If you want then I can buy them for you. Im a student here in Mumbai so it won't be a big deal for me to buy them, if this can help you. Enjoy!! |

Many thanks to Faraz and Swap20 for your offers of help as regards tickets. I would like to accept your offer Faraz. If you could please get me two tickets for the Vithal Divecha Pavilion: (Rs. 600 per ticket for all 5 days) my son and I would be eternally grateful. Please let me know exactly when and where to meet and how I will recognise you. I will be with my son, who is 15 (but looks younger) and he wears glasses. let me know how you would like to receive the money for the tickets. I can either pay you on the day or send bank transfer or even paypal (whatever your preference). not sure if I can put email address on this forum, but in case it is keithbyrne@aol.com Many thanks again, we didn't want to be missing a chunk of the first day, so you are a lifesaver. Regards, Keith Faraz Wrote: swap20 Wrote: DubaiByrnes Wrote: My Son and I are flying from Dubai to Mumbai early in the morning on 23 November to catch the first 2 days of the second test. Dear Mark, I can paste the instructions which were sent to me by the Mumbai Cricket association (I got contact from their website): "This has reference to your request for tickets for the India v England Test Match to be played at Wankhede Stadium from 23rd to 27th November 2012. Following are the rates of the tickets: Vithal Divecha Pavilion: Rs. 600 per ticket for all 5 days You are requested to remit the actual cost of said ticket in Indian rupees on or before 16th November 2012. Kindly send us an email once the payment is made along with a copy of remittance confirmation. Kindly note that the remittance charges should be borne by you. Payment Instructions: Please remit funds to the following account: Beneficiaryâs Name: Mumbai Cricket Association Name of Bank: Indian Overseas Bank Branch: New Marine Lines Branch, Mumbai â" 400020 SWIFT Code: IOBAINBB301 Beneficiaryâs A/c: 030101000030001 You can collect the tickets personally from 20th November till 22nd November 2012 from the Office of the Association after producing identity proof like Passport and a copy of the Bank Remittance Sheet." Hi Everyone. I am planning on attending all 5 days of the test but having similar problems. I have e-mailed the Mumbai Cricket Association but had no response. I am travelling up to Mumbai the day before (train from Goa), but doubt I will be there in time to collect tickets. Is the collection for the tickets actually at the stadium? Also, if I don't make it in time does anyone know from past experience how easy it will be to get tickets on the morning of the test and is the Vithal Divecha Pavilion likely to fill up (first test outside of the UK!), as I want to be in that stand with everyone else! Cheers Paul |

Cheers Paul On the morning of each day's play (especially if India is batting) there is always a large queue. So it would be much better to collect the tix in advance. The stands don't quite get sold out (even if India is batting) and Vitthal Divecha stand is least likely to be sold out considering its priced a touch more than the rest. Hope that helps. |
