That first session was a killer. I thought Anderson, Broad and Bresnan struggled to get the right line to Sehwag. Swann bowled well and Patel did a job.

I can understand why Monty didn't play as they are obviously worried about the depth of batting plus Broads injury. Be interesting to see if they change it for Mumbai though.

Very strange not having the Sky team at the ground, bet Athertons creaming the expenses out there on his own...

If Broad is injured, he shouldn't be playing in a 5 day Test match. Simple as that. Nothing has been learned from the UAE regarding picking a team to suit the conditions. it's not as if the nature of the pitch was a secret!
