How was it? Some of us have followed your whole soap opera like saga quite closely over the year. After the Sri Lanka debacle, the last we heard was you were off to Nagpur. That test finished a while back and no word yet |

Yes I made it whiteteensign apologies for the lack of response, only just arrived back yesterday morning and now in sodding work and wish I wasn't. Watched all the Nagpur test (was mainly up the top stand with a few other solo travellers I met). The Indian fans were great fun, fair play for them all turning up and singing along on the last day, more loyal than the aussies were in 2010/11. Also managed to blag a ticket off an English tour guide person (having almost given up, couldn't work it out online) to make the T20 at Bombay so got to see Morgan's last ball six. Went to Bangalore (25 hours by train, booked at Mumbai station, never did manage to fathom the internet cleartrip booking thing despite Harvey's very patient help) but couldn't get tickets for the christmas day India v Pak T20, would've had to pay £200 or so it seemed. So a bit of a wasted journey but was a good craic in the bar though. Then spent the last 5 days in goa getting p1ssed/stoned/generally fked until the flight home on New Year's Day. All in all was a cracking trip and didn't suffer any Delhi Belly or illness full stop despite the lack of jabs. Once again massive thanks to Big Harvey, Huey, yourself and numerous others for all their kind and generous advice. |

The Nagpur crowd on all days did indeed look quite impressive, far bigger than the few hundred who have turned up to previous Tests at the venue. I would venture to say it was bigger than turned up to the old ground last time we were in Nagpur, which has to be hugely encouraging for those concerned about the future of Test cricket in India. As you've seen, India is a country where trips don't always run smoothly, but there are so many things that make it worth all the aggro. If you spend more than a couple of weeks there it tends to call you back as well. Maybe I'll see you next time we tour there. |

Would be great to see you next time, I owe you a beer or ten. I bought the old Corridor of Uncertainty fanzine when I was out there, a cracking read btw I noticed you were a contributor. |
