I'm sure NZC can appreciate the commitment that many thousands of supporters make to following cricket around the world and many of us are keen to start making arrangements for this tour, including booking of flights, accommodation and annual leave from work. Please could you give some indication of when the itinerary is likely to be made public, as this is the source of much speculation among travelling supporters. Thanks in advance Will update when/if I receive a response. You could'nt pm me their response about half an hour before you post it could you. |

Hope you get a more useful reply than I did about a month ago. "The 2012/13 schedule will be confirmed later this year, our website will be updated with the information as soon as it becomes available." I'm going to try asking again as well. |

Just spoke to JV after he was quoted in the paper about the option of a new grassbank test oval to be developed here in Auckland and followed by questioning the delay of the announcement. He has no idea why it is delayed as was all ready to go when he left Cricket NZ in Jan. Not sure if the concerns over the Wellington stand earthquake reports or if Dunedin is causing the delay. Back to the first not I doubt they can have a test at Vic Park for this tour, temporary stands no issue but no players changing areas, cant see KP changing in a shipping container and using a porta loo pre innings! It would be great for the future tours though, 10,000 grass banks closs to town and the newly built bar and eatery area. Hope to find out more soon, but not holding breath. Bloody Kiwis with their last minute relaxed approach! |

I think the likelihood of New Zealand cricket tipping off a member of the public ahead of a general announcement is slim. Is it essential to book everything the day the dates are announced? There are loads of flights and hotels available, and probably not a lot of additional traffic due to England supporters. |

Bloody Kiwis with their last minute relaxed approach! Eden Park or not? www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm? ... d=10813143 Simple answer: who knows! The governing body here at present doesnât seem to know its earhole from its arsehole. They have spoken about the ground at Vic park in the city, they have mentioned the outer oval at Eden park and this is the first I have heard of the North Shore option. The outer oval at Eden is good, true open grass area and the changing facilities are there for the players within the main stadium which will also work for the after match functions. Not too sure on the options for viewing for the dignitaries and the players though, anyone else help with that? The though of the ground on the shore is not an appealing one. The transport to that area of Auckland is shocking, there is one bridge over the harbour no trains and minimal accommodation there, even less night life. People would be staying in town and battling to get there, 40 min journey in the mornings I would say on busses and even longer coming back to the city at rush hour. As many others in the forum I have just emailed Cricket NZ to ask about the delay from the initial planned announcement in Feb/March and pointing out that the dates have been announced for the Black Cap tour of the UK which is months after the tour here. May have referred the organisation of the venues similar to that of a tour in India so unsure how quickly they will respond to me. Tried to word it from a local point of view though to see if this is any more likely to get information. |

I know (on both counts) - but figured it wouldn't do any harm asking the question. I will try to be more patient |
