I was out on the piss all day yesterday so I've just got round to responding to PMs/Emails.

If you do have any success in reducing the fares, do post them here as an example for others, but do keep the Qantas source off board.

ps. £1.10 a pint for guest ales at the Wetherspoons at the Trafford Centre Ski Slope. Ooooff!

Boddingtons,

I am concerned why you are keen for this travel agency to remain private. Why not publish the link to them, if as you say, it is a large online travel agency? Surely they need the business?

To be honest this sounds to me like the start of the STI situation with someone coming on this forum and offering something that sounds almost too good to be true.

I am sure it is not but I think it is right to ask the question.

Because this is clearly a pricing error. Once these loopholes are exposed online they are soon rectified hence not wanting to give the specifics of this to a wider audience.

The website is not UK based, but you are effectively booking with a travel agency of similar stature to Expedia in their territory.

On the grounds that BA/Qantas seem to be on the ball with the announcement of these tour dates, or tour companies have block booked space, it's unlikely that this loophole will really benefit anyone, at this stage at least. Unless you specifically want to fly on these carriers of course.

In the example I gave the other day, the Qantas fare has increased from £1125 to £1396 on Expedia, and from £763 to £1050 on the other source.

Plenty of fares around the £850 mark with Malaysian (via KL) and Etihad (via AD and Sydney)

Worth checking the likes of http://www.skyscanner.com and http://www.kayak.com for comparisons.
