Andy Cheers. No doubt Rob has already told me this, the brain cells are fast disappearing, and that is before I take off ! All being well, see you in Dunedin.............. Any thoughts on where ? Captain Cooks as first suggested or the Terrace, the preferred BA HQ ? P |

It unlikely there will be even a small percentage of the numbers of us in SL. As with the last NZ tour it is the 2nd winter tour, so cost is an issue. Then theres the 2 upcoming Ashes series. There will be enough of us to make our presence known, but I'll be surprised at anything remotely raucous. Been pondering over it ( |

Can't see there being tremendous numbers. Remember the no's for SL were expected to be high, thus the ticket rip off by the SL board. Good indicator is the no of posters on here on the NZ thread, not too many. Know there was an advanced party held in London last week with lots of the regulars in attendance. Regards the beer, theres always somewhere just a case of keeping ann eye and ear open. BA bars are fine, but no-one should stay all or every night. Every confidence in Peter, see you 5th. |

http://www.odt.co.nz/sport/cricket/246211/cricket-preparations-well-hand-barmy-army Glad to see they have their preparations in hand but I'm a little concerned about their beer calculations!! Capacity of 5300, expecting to sell out for the first 3 days is 15900 punters, plus what ever happens on days 4 and 5 so say 20,000 in total and they hope to sell 2000 x 12 = 24000 bottles of beer. That doesn't make sense to me!!! |
