Booked Milford Sound today with InterCity Coachlines. Their version of Stagecoach really. $120 inc booking fee. No food but I'd rather get my own fresh anyway than rely on a pre-packed lunch. I've booked several journeys with them including a $1 trip from Wellington to Taupo (via Napier). Worth a look. |

If Sally is the same Sally as I met in SL, she wont be going anywhere near another boat again !! Poor girl, on a whale watching trip, really suffered with the sea swell. Along with several others, the perfect part of the day for them was getting off Mike! Yes that is me and I have not been near a boat since although I am going to try and go swimming with dolphins later in the year so I will have to try and regain my sea legs!! Bikini, gutted I just saw your message!! Hope you had a good time in Queenie. Re trips, yes Milford is epic and if you are not travelling much in NZ it is a must do, if you have the money you can always take the bus there and then do a scenic flight back. You really dont need to worry about booking this stuff yet, it wont sell out! I work in the travel industry in Queenie and so will let you into a site that we all bloody hate cause its so cheap... its www.bookme.co.nz - you will find Milford trips and jet boats for chepaer than anywhere else on there. Remember you need the Milford trip with coach if you are not going to drive yourself. You wont ever find stuff like bungy, skydive etc on there and hopefully you can come to me for this and I will give you discount where I can. I work for a company called Peterpans which is the biggest backpacker travel agents in Australasia but we also book stuff for "regular" travellers. Any other advice that you need, want to know if a hotel is a good location then ask away |

Also nearer the time you get good offers on there for the gondola and luging which is so much fun and you get epic views over the whole of Queenie |
