There looks to be lots of well regarded places around the £80 / night mark. I was looking at Rydges Lakeland - £85 a night for a lake view, or £45 a night for a car park view. |

Feedback would be appreciated on potential night time attractions (bars, restaurants, clubs, massage parlours and the like) |

spotted one massage place on shotover street, not in the main town area but the other side of the roundabout by the BBH backpackers. Bars are plentiful, world bar has great screen outside that is massive and TV quality. Pig and Whistle has Boddingtons on tap! Casino is small but good fun, I won $150 so a little biased. Cow is good food as is Pog Mahons, they had $20 stone grills when I was there, if this is still on offer get in there. Any other Qs? |

Hey peeps, I am Sally from the SL tour, I was registered here under a different username but forgot my password and cant get the forgot password button to work!! I currently live and work in Queenstown. First of all I would imagine the players will stay in the Crowne Plaza (thats where Ireland rugby team recently stayed) or if they choose out of town it will be the new Hilton by the airport. Queenstown has over 70 bars and caters for every taste really. Accommodation will be plentiful in March as its the end of Summer and coming into the quiet time, as part of my job I sell accom but only hostels which are a good option if there are a group of you. QT is of course the adrenaline capital of the world so if any of you have questions about that stuff let me know. |

I am in town til Sunday if you would like a drink and reminisce about SL? Can also recommend a day trip out to Milford Sounds, either in a hire car as I have done today stopping at Gunn Lake, Mirror Lakes and then on to the Sounds for a 12.45 boat tour lasting 2.15, we saw seals, penguins, waterfalls the added to the amazing scenery and the flat clam waters made a perfect day. |

If Sally is the same Sally as I met in SL, she wont be going anywhere near another boat again !! Poor girl, on a whale watching trip, really suffered with the sea swell. Along with several others, the perfect part of the day for them was getting off |

Bikini I definetly will be doing the MS tour but was thinking of getting on one of the tour op buses. Was it not a tiring day, all that driving or is it less so as your at your own pace rather than shuffled around ? Cost of car hire/juice a consideration or roughly the same ? Cheers |
