What is the general feeling that everyone will be going to watch? the tests or the ODI's? Planning on coming over with the wife for 2 weeks and found some decent BA flights to Auckland and then can take in the Auckland odi, hamilton and Napier but dont fancy all that travelling around if most people are doing the tests and not here yet? will b my first overseas tour so really looking forward to it, just want to make the most of it thanks |

IF you are travelling all that way and your main reason is to watch some cricket, then its a bloody long way to see 3 days play. Most people on here will be going for the tests, probably all three in most cases. Why not catch one of the tests and see one of the islands. |

cheers for the replies guys, really torn what to do now, it's either the 3 ODI's or either wellington or auckland test, although a bit worried if I just do the last Auckland test it will be a damp squid if the series has already been won confused, from Leicester |

I can strongly suggest that if you are coming for one test do not make it Auckland. I live in Auckland and Eden park is a shocking test venue. the atmosphere will be lost, its a rugby ground now. Wellington has a lot more cuture to it, the people are generally more chilled, coffee much better too. The basin is a true old cricket ground and as you say the series will still be a live. Also if people are doing two test this will certainly be the largest BA support, grass banks too. Good luck making the call. |
