Yeah but it's not proper cricket and therefore doesn't count!! Seriously though, it does show that we shouldn't count our chickens! |

Yea, and I think those who are saying that the ashes this summer will be a 'walk over' for England might be thinking again. |

Pretty bloody horrible day for the England but lets not start getting concerned about the Ashes just yet Peado!! So we had a bad (very bad) day at the office. The Kiwis are prone to punching above their weight with moments, sessions (apparently days) of cricket, but can't seem to stretch that over 5 days. I haven't given up on this test yet much less the series. |

16/1 England to win this a bit tasty on betfair. I'd defo be selling their first innings runs at 420 on the spreads too. That would be a 260 lead (if they get there, got to be a fair chance they get skittled well short) and with rain and bad light around they wouldn't want to bat on too long and not give themselves enough time to bowl us out. 500/6d lunch on the fourth day is about the worst you can expect, I mean they're not gonna lose from that situation so why bat on? |

I don't want to put a downer on the fantastic effort today to save the test, but reading through this thread again has wound me up!!! The fact is, New Zealand have been the better team in 2 of the 3 tests (I only went to Wellington, which is the one we were in the box seat I would hate for us to become as arrogant as the aussies were when they were good, this has nearly come back to bite us on the arse. Let's remember where we've come from, my first overseas test I got in the ground 15 minutes late on day 1, by which time England were 2 for 4 and it was no massive shock to us, I remember the saffers reaction when we had a standing ovation for reaching double figures, they just didn't get it Finally congratulations to the team on a great test cricketing performance today, especially Prior, Bell, Root and Broad God, imagine Monty had got run out at the end there, when he dived from about half way down the wicket and landed a foot short |
