I'm going to the ashes next year,Melbourne and Sydney and would like to know if anyone knows of anywhere to get cheap travel insurance for me and my wife.We're both over 50 and have numerous health issues |

My wife has suffered from both Breast Cancer & a Heart Attack so Travel Insurance is not exactly the easiest thing in the world for her especially when we watch England abroad.Two Insurance companies that we find very reasonable are - www.insurepink.co.uk & www.aviva.co.uk/travel Insurepink ask a lot of questions but they usually come out the cheapest & we will more than likely be using them for Oz next December though surprisingly Aviva were cheaper when we went to Sri Lanka last year. I have trawled through countless Insurance Companies in the past trying to get the best deal & i am always open to anyone offering different options to get my wife a cheaper (& fairer) travel deal. A couple to look at are www.able2travel.com and www.allcleartravel.co.uk . Both specialise in pre-existing medical conditions. |

You could consider opening a privilege current account with the Co-operative Bank, This account costs 9.50 per month but includes worldwide travel insurance, and waives a whole load of existing medical conditions. Anything outside these you must declare and could incur an additional premium. The other major benefit is that once opened it will insure you up to the age of 80.
