So, you're 130-4 chasing 164. You've got more than 11 overs left and you've had a bloody good look at the opposition. Rightly you're thinking that you have more than got the measure of this lot, but ..... If you beat them you set up a game against a team which you not only know will give you a better game, they may very well beat you. If you lose, you re-play todays game against a weaker team, but with the mindset that todays game will endow on both teams, ie you both know who's really the best team. The dilemma is .... how do you lose but keep them in the field long enough so your mates in the changing rooms can finish going through the oppositions gear for anything worth nicking. Its in the genes. |
