I haven't made my mind up yet Jeeder. Is my first Ashes tour, and though I'll be with family and friends in Sydney, nothing doing in Melbourne - I'm just arriving 00.10am Christmas Day morning, and then kipping in a hostel till the jetlag's gone. £96 does seem a little steep to me but I may yet fork out the money. I don't know how the seating plans will work if you book a ticket on your own. Just hope I'm not so fked from the flight and only just arriving that morning that I can't appreciate it properly. I suspect I will go though to be honest, will be a good chance to meet up with a few people.

I just had a look at booking, was gonna cough up then wondered about how the seating plan works? Do you just find a seat and sit there - or do they give you a set place? Anyone recall last time?

More than likely to go down further before you get there.

I'm not so sure? The only reason sterling dropped this week, was because of comments made by the new Governor of the Bank of England re interest rates. Once the markets realise he was talking bollox and hasn't got a clue, you might find out they bounce back. Also Australia's Economy isn't performing as well as expected which might help a bit. I don't think we'll be seeing the nearly 3 to the pound when I was there late 1998

I got $2.50 in 2006/7,i wouldn't mind getting somewhere near that.

On the brink of $1.70 today.
