Got my tickets sorted this morning (aussie time) Literally only doing Adelaide and the Saturday/Sunday of Sydney test!!! Really struggling for leave with flying back to blighty this Saturday for a month (Trent Bridge & Lords)
Anyway Sydney went easy enough, Bronze sets in bay 14 row b (sat) row d (sun) for $55 each!!! Adelaide, I went for the bronze seats in front of the grass bank (having stood for the last 10 days of the last 2 tours, thought i'd treat myself to a seat!!!) Dived straight in and got the Saturday and Sunday sorted, but struggled a bit with the Thursday and Friday, have had to go in the dry section, couldn't get 8 seats together anywhere else!!! It would appear that the one side will still be a building site and quite a lot of the rest is for members!!!!
Good luck all!!!

That bastard ticketmaster won't accept my UK based Amex as payment for Perth tickets.

Plan two failed also....bought a A$5 Ticketmaster gift card to see if i coulf get around it that way but they take 24 hours to activate.

Plan three is in the motions. Annoyingly it wants to seat us in bay 5 though next to the Aussie Army.

I'm confused. How have you managed to get tickets already. They don't go on pre-sale until 9am (Oz time) or midnight UK time (mon night/tues morning)?

Am i missing some cunning trick?

Ignore me. Just seen that you had gold membership. Good work fellas.

Let's see the missus enjoys me buying tickets on a laptop in bed (and either swearing or cheering afterwards) at midnight tonight

Yes, for some reason I had gold priority for no reason known to myself.

I managed to get tickets in Adelaide and Perth for the first four days of each test.

Adelaide: Sections 142/143
Perth: Bay 5

Annoyingly this is next to the Aussie Army but it seems that thats how the allocation of Silver seats is working....from Bay 5 round to 14. Anyhow, seats are confirmed. I was unsuccessful on my last visit so glad we've got something sorted this time.

Ticketmaster did not seem to like attempting to byt my UK billing address for the credit card ableit with Australia down as the country. In the end i was able to pay with a friends card using his Adelaide billing address, so beware of this anyone wanting to do this from the UK. I was using an Amex so there may be different checks in place for visa/mastercard.

I believe I had the gold because i've purchased tickets 2 of the previous 3 years, this was the case the last ashes series too. So I would say it's always likely to be the case, if you're in Oz it might be worth getting tickets and doing the aussie one day at the cricket each year or if in UK (or indeed anywhere outside Oz) getting someone in Oz to use you ACF number to buy some tickets each year ;)

I am sorted too!!! M15 for Boxing Day and 28th Dec at the MCG. Bay 13 and 14 for Day 3 and 4 at the SCG.

Boxing Day there will be 11 of us (spread over 3 blocks unfortunately) but the other 3 days I am going to I am on my own. I went to 2 of the ODIs in New Zealand (Napier and Auckland) on my own this year and made friends easily enough so not too fussed by it. Anyone else going to be in those blocks?

So excited!! I have wanted to do Boxing Day at the MCG in an Ashes series since I was a kid.

Sydney, Adelaide and Perth all sorted. Adelaide looks like the venue that most people will be disappointed with tickets, not many on sale to non members of SACA

skibs, i'll be here at the SCG:

Friday 3/1 - Bay 13 row P seat 1 ($55)

Saturday 4/1 Bay 12 row W seat 2 ($55)

Sunday 5/1 Family day - general admission Bay 4 row H - seats 1-5 ($50)

Monday 6/1 - Bay 14 row L seat 8 ($55)

on my own Fri, Sat and Mon.

Does anyone buy 5th day tickets in australia, or just pay at the gate on the day.

My sis just told me she had to pay a booking fee for every day as she couldn't find out a way to buy multiple days in one booking. What a con, or did she miss out on a little trick. Did others pay a booking fee for every day?
