Howdy all, newbie here

My pal got our tickets for Melbourne and Sydney this week

Melbourne
Day 1 - Block 13
Day 2-4 - Block 15

Ive been told that Block 13 can get a bit fractious, is this true ???

Sydney
Days 1 - 4 were across Bays 1-9 as he strugggle to get bronze tickets so we had to settle for silver but who cares as were in

Its been a lifelong ambition to see the Ashes in Oz and im finally going to be there, also my 40th birthday just before I go so its a great way to celebrate a milestone..

Been offline for the last week so haven't been able to post.......mixed results for me.

Only managing to get to Adelaide this time and was chasing 3 tickets for all days in the Bronze section in front of the hill. Was on-line bang on 9am when the ACF pre sale started on the 2nd and all allocation exhausted for those seats........Faaaarrrrrk!!

In desperation got day 1 in the Aussie Army section and day 2 in the dry......not sure what's worse but they are both horrible options. Hopefully it will be like previous years and we can just walk on and off the hill at will.

By the time I'd got days 1 and 2 sorted there was only Platinum tickets left for the other days so I left it then. I'm not too despondent at this stage though, I've got a theory (which I hope proves to be right) that there was only a piddly number of tickets made available for this pre sale and we'll all have better luck on the 17th with the General Sale.....even though there will be lots more people in the mix.

Only thing that may bite me personally in the arse is that half the Adelaide Oval is still under construction and there also seems to be an extraordinary amount of the ground allocated to Adelaide members. So not much left for the rest of us. So Adelaide may be the tricky venue this year but I wouldn't be panicking yet about any of the other grounds......like I say I "suspect" there will be a lot more tickets available for General Release.

Meant to comment late last week.....was article in Adelaide Advertiser saying is possible another 5000 tickets might be available for the second test.
seems they might have some of the new stand completed opposite the members area.
not confirmed as yet..but will keep posting if anything new comes up.

wonder why they didn't make the building of the new stand coincide with another tour. I guess they do it in their summer so as not to clash with footy. But the ashes test must be their biggest money spinner in cricket. NOt just the ground takings but tourism in Adelaide.
