I have been emailing ticketek trying to get my tickets for Adelaide test which I paid for on 2nd July. I keep being told their is a suppression on them by the promoter and won't be released till October?. Anyone else getting the same bull.....t from ticketek. Ticketmasters released tickets for Brisbane and Perth on the same day I purchased.

I called Ticketek up and they said they would not be released until October.

Then I received this email from them:

The tickets for this event are under a suppression, meaning that the promoter has requested that the tickets are not printed and sent out straight away.

Ticketek acts on behalf of the promoter, and cannot send the tickets until the suppression is lifted. The date that the suppression will be lifted is not yet confirmed.

If you have not received your tickets within 14 days of the event, please contact us again.

I got the same email. I didnt even receive email confirmation from ticketek that i had brought them, i finally managed to get them to confirm i had them after numerous emails.

They seem less efficient than ticketmaster, and i can see there being a lot of issues nearer the test!

live in Adelaide guys. I rang them few weeks ago with similar response. intend on ringing them again in few weeks time. will post their response on here for all.
not unduly concerned myself at this stage. things often work very different here than in other states....if need be....if answers are not forthcoming, I will ring management to get their response.

This happened last time too if I remember rightly. It's an anti-touting measure aimed at making it harder for people to sell them on E-bay, etc.

Ticketek and Ticketmaster are generally pretty reliable in my experience, so no need to worry unless having to wait until next month conflicts with whatever travel plans you may have.

What are you after mate, getting the tickets delivered? I bought my MCG tickets from Ticketek and elected to pick them up from the ground, didn't seem much point in paying extra to have them sent over and the risk involved.

Info from folk in Adelaide is that the stadium is not yet finished, and they are not sure when or if it will be completed in time for the test. They are probably delaying the issue of tickets until they know how many seats they have! A right mess by all accounts.

Yosser, what I'm after is my tickets !!!! The idea is that I pay and they supply !!!! Very simple mate. Harvey hit the nail on the head as I'm taking off in a couple of weeks going bush and driving to Brisbane and Adelaide tests. Also I'm sure it's to stop scalpers so it begs the question as to why ticketmasters don't have any issues. Stoney

Fair enough, I'm just saying nowadays its a safe option to pick them up at the ground. Scalpers? Is that touts? Perhaps ticketmaster don't think that side is their responsibility. Although sending tickets out closer to the event date doesn't really stop it and gives the genuine purchaser less time if they go missing in the post.
