Hello all,

I'm coming to Perth for the Test and would like some suggestions as to where to stay.

I don't mind spending a few bob and ideally it would be within staggering distance from where my fellow England fans will be celebrating.

Has anyone got any ideas?

The WACA is in the eastern side of the CBD, so if you look for places in Perth CBD then you won't go wrong.

Alternatives include:

Fremantle - 25 minutes by train to Perth
Scarborough - 20 mins by bus and train to Perth
Mandurah - A seaside town that's 50 minutes by train to Perth with lots of expats living there, many going to the test matches!

From the CBD, its a 20 minute walk to the WACA or catch the free bus shuttle from the train station/bus station straight to the WACA.

If staying in Perth solely for the 3rd Test dosent make sense to stay out of the CBD ,the WACA is so simply reached by foot ,most city hotels will be top dollar but if you dont mind splashing a bit ,you are should be well set .

If you don't mind staying in a hostel then Perth City YHA is alot cheaper than any hotel. I've stayed there myself. It's a very good hostel and it's in a great location in the city centre.

Concur with all comments re Perth. Try website airbnb, free to join and you might pick up a cheaper stay than hotel in CBD. I used this site for first time on a recent Sydney trip. Found a great apartment 100 dollars a night for me and wife all inclusive. Have a gander as you may find something of interest.
