taken from the email I just received from them.

Dear cricket fan,
We acknowledge that you have not yet received your tickets to the Commonwealth Bank Ashes Test at the Adelaide Oval and apologise for the delay. The good news is that your ticket category will be ready for release this Friday 8 November via your chosen delivery method.
Due to construction works at the ground, there were minor delays in our standard ticketing distribution process. The reason for the delay was to ensure that your ticket and seat were fully checked and audited in the new Adelaide Oval before being distributed.

We apologise again for the delay and appreciate your patience during this exciting period for Australian cricket and the Adelaide Oval.
Thank you

considering the previous "official" reason was that the promoter had put a "block' on the tickets....their new explanation COULD have been offered to all months ago.
what a way to treat cricket enthusiasts who live 12,000 miles away. !!!!!

There appears to be all sorts of problems in Adelaide. The outfield grass has not taken, (trying to grow it in 6 weeks in hot dry weather!) gale damage to a stand, and some uncertainty about how many 'seats' will actually be available.
Message I got from ticketmaster is that ALL Adelaide tickets will have to be collected at the stadium, details of collection points etc will be advised. This is 'because of the redevelopment at the stadium they are UNABLE to print the tickets until close to the event date'.

Dunno about that.........I've already got mine.

Pretty sure the only byers that used ticketmaster (for Adelaide) were for the 12th man allocation, the rest of us used Ticketek, if you selected the ezy ticket option they are available for download now.

Either someone is telling you porkies or this is an even bigger f@#k up than we thought.

Got same response as this off ticketmaster after booking through twelfthman link, used other peoples credit cards and addresses as well as my own to be able to get over the 4 tickets per person per test as stated on website not sure about being able to pick them up in Oz without there credit cards and ID. Could be sat in a bar for a couple of the days watching it on TV ha ha. Luckily I've got the Perth test ones in hand.

Jake.....just received this email half hour ago from ticketek...

Dear cricket fan,
We acknowledge that you have not yet received your tickets to the Commonwealth Bank Ashes Test at the Adelaide Oval and apologise for the delay.
Due to construction works at the ground, there are minor delays in our standard ticketing distribution process. Our aim is to ensure that your ticket and seat are fully checked and audited in the new Adelaide Oval before being distributed.
You will receive your tickets prior to the Test. We have started to release tickets in some categories and will make yours available as soon as possible. We will provide you with a further update next week.
We apologise again for the delay and appreciate your patience during this exciting period for Australian cricket and the Adelaide Oval.
Thank you

am curious how many people who bought tickets are flying out here and have no idea where their tickets are going to be......sent to them in the mail, collect at a ticketek outlet...or as jake says.....collect from the stadium....less than a month to the Adelaide test...what a bloody mess.

This is a farce now. So what are we to do if they send tickets after we have already set off for oz? they gonna re-issue them out there? still had no answer to this question from ticketek. Also are they gonna refund everyone the postage they paid for? not a small sum when you consider they charged over $5 per ticket for postage.
I didnt want to spend hours stuck in some queue waiting to collect my tickets when i get out there either hence i paid for postage. Ticketek have not told the truth throughout this whole episode, choosing to come out with bullshit about agents holding onto tickets to stop touting etc.
