Just seen in a Barmy Army email that there is some form of take on Last Night at the Proms going on in Adelaide during the test match.......with discounted tickets for the Barmy Army.

Sounds like it was on last time, anyone go or thinking about going this year??

My old man is coming over for the test match and I reckon he would love this, could be a decent night out if there are plenty of Barmys there.

Any interest?? It's on the Friday and Saturday night.

I assume we've all seen the email but if not heres the nuts and bolts of it.......

Adelaide Symphony Orchestra has a special offer for the Barmy Army:

A Reserve $69 (usually $88)
B Reserve $59 (usually $75)
C Reserve $49 (usually $64)

To book please visit: www.bass.net.au/events/aso-last-night-of-the-proms.aspx and use the PROMO CODE 'BARMY'

Yeah I fancy this. Should be a laugh. Always wanted to go to Albert Hall for "The Last Night"
Ironic a Scots conductor Playing to crowd of BA. He should get some stick.

Yeah I'm definitely up for this, like you Holgate I've always fancied the real deal at the RAH......but this will do for starters.

TBH though, I'm not sure how this can really work in a foreign country? The Last Night of the Proms is such a magnificent and ridiculously over the top celebration of being British..........how does it work for an International audience?

I can definitely see it being a good night if enough BA are in there though. Perhaps anyone that books can post here what night they are going to...........so we can see what appears to be most popular.

I would imagine audience would be largely ex-pats and BA.
Should be a great event. I'm definitely going.

I just went with the cheapest C reserve for $49. My tickets are "STALLS W17-W16"

I didn't realise until after I booked that there was an option to choose your seats, I just opted for select best available........looks like I ended up right in the back row!! Oh well, at least my big Union Jack isn't gonna be bothering anyone LOL

Just booked 2 $69 tickets for the Saturday, not many seats to choose from especially when the system won't let you take 2 seats when it leaves a seat by itself. However, brilliant deal. Can't wait to go now..... travelling 1st December to Adelaide taking in all 5 days and then first 3 days of Melbourne and Sydney courtesy of a very generous Oz based brother-in-law.
