Hi,

The poms have seemed to lost the cricket, half their team have swanned off and by the sounds of it many have wasted a lot of cash watching their team (eng inc) here in Oz. However the english have won hands down in singing songs up until now.

It is ironic that the best song of the ashes has come from the aussies. Who would have thought this?

People may have heard this before but here it is and it is FUNNY unlike the little ditties about convicts.

so sorry you still feeling the effects of your inferiority complex. maybe you should take a Bex and have a good lie down,.

just browsed through your "potential " team for the winter Olympics....how come some are from Canada, USA. Germany, Korea.....

maybe if I spell "hipokrit" this way.....you'd be able to understand and pronounce it as well.

Isn't this by the same guy who did the "That's in Queensland" song? So he's copied himself yet again, yeah that's pretty original. Actually, I read somewhere that he did the same to some Aussie bloke who made up the "Why Didn't Broad Walk" chant, he ripped off that line as well. About as funny as a fart in an elevator!

Your right I had a good lie down as I felt dizzy. Someone told me Australia just beat England 5-0 and I didnt believe it and my legs gave way. Seeing that I really wish I was English with your great weather, tropical resorts, great medical system, great educational scores on international tests and your belief that Australians from convicts, geez I really wish I was english.

Maybe a little humility might be in order .

Another archetypal Aussie, berating our weather, laughable, as its non tropical :? Are we in the tropics? Medical system, oh the one yours is based on, as well as most of the civilised world. Our educational system, ditto? Let me see if I can name one Aus seat of knowledge ... nope.
If one reads your post its obvious that apart from missing words, poor grammar and lack of punctuation, the Aus educational system has produced another ........I was going to liken you to a famous Australian writer, but I don't know any.
You were right about one thing, true Australians don't (come) 'from convicts'. I believe they are Aboriginal, but you don't refer to them as Australians do you?

Going off topic completely here but I'd like to make two points:

1) I live in Melbourne. Right now (7th January midday), it is 14C. A whole 2C warmer than London in the middle of a winter night. Australia is huge, so unless compaisons are made to all of Europe its rediculous.

2) At day 3 in the SCG, there were 3 lads dressed as Richie Benaud who'd got hold of tickets in the Barmy Army section. They were pretty abnoxious after a couple of mid strength beers but they weren't causing any trouble and willing to chat to us at a normal volume at times. One was chatting to us while his mates were getting beers and said "I like you fellas, I work with a few poms and Irish lads, it's muslims I don't like. That English Defence League you have is great". Having lived here for a year, that is sadly a rather indicitve snapshot of Australia right there. But what I think annoyed me just as much was that he was dressed as a Richie Benaud, a proper gent who I expect would be disguisted at such garbage.

Yes we had 2 days of below 20 deg weather but it is back on track now with 25, 30 ,31 ,26 over next few days.

Australia has it fair share of idiots and so does England.

Nor do I think it a good idea that this so called supporter group of English cricket comes to Australia and wants to insult Australians 'in song'. Calling us convicts is about as historically accurate as calling the English 'Aborigine Killers'.

A football style 'up yours' supporter group is not what cricket needs and all this will do is
1)Inspire Oz bowlers to bowl better to shut the gang up ' Mitch Johnson just admitted it'
2)Inviting problems from Australian idiots .

I wont be suprised if a fight breaks out 1 days between supporters of both countries one day.

The Barmy Army is over stepping the mark with its 'up your convicts ' mentality and no you dont lose well either as you claim. I dont see much light hearted banter here and in fact I will post a message that even the english should find FUNNY.

Sorry but all sports stars have to accept that will get attention from the crowd. If that player can do some good he's every right to remind those same fans just as Mitchell Johnson did. I don't think you will find one England fan that does not have respect for the way he has come back from the 2010/11 series, albeit they might say it through gritted teeth.

My only problem with that song is the foul language. On my first day at cricket in Australia it was clear that it is something of a family day out here. If a Dad chooses to take his kids to see a football match in England he accepts he is going to subject them to bad language, but I don't think the same applies to a Dad here taking his kids to a day at the cricket here.

That aside, there is nothing wrong with creating a bit of an atmosphere otherwise we might as well all stay at home and watch in peace and quiet in front of our TV's. If a few aussies are too precious and hypocritical to be called 'convicts' in jest once every four years, when 'pom' is part of everyone's vocabulary here (right up to news readers and the politicians) that isn't anyone else's fault and is merely a challange to come back with something better. I don't agree with it being on T-Shirts though, that's going to a bit too much effort for me.

I'm assuming it will be posted after that banal infancy you wasted our time with supposedly regarding Panesar.
Your comments above suggest that you are new to Ashes cricket and particularly the rivalry, otherwise you would know ONLY the deranged would resort to violence in the name of cricket. Even in Aus, I have met precious few who would resort to such inane behaviour. None of them were real cricket fans.
