I think you have to be very careful how you categorise who is a 'real' supporter and who is enitled to vote with their feet. The travelling he's done in the last few years alone, entitles him to be regarded as a loyal fan.
Incidentally, once he's gotten over the initial dissappointment he'll be there, you can bet on it. :)

I don't know about that Mac. After i've seen India at Old Trafford in Aug,i'll have seen all the other countries play England. And the way the prices are going, its better to save the coin and enjoy holidays abroad. Don't know about the Windies next Feb/Mar,might not bother, but a couple of Tests before the New Year in South Africa might be the order of the day. And there's Bangladesh.

Don't think you should give me advice I give my opinion, and do not top tips, a real supporter never I say again never throws in the towel, just because it's not going his way, doing something else or no cash different deal. Having spent 20 years as a Royal Marine Commmando I understand loyalty totally, and also understand old hands telling you what o do and say.

I suppose having a family and a daughter at Uni might have summat to do with it.

It doesn't grow on trees pal.

Not sure I quite understand what you're saying here. Maybe a beer involved but the first sentence is difficult to follow.
What is clear is you don't mind telling someone what you consider to be a real supporter, ie your opinion, but you have problems with someone suggesting to you that making those statements is maybe unfair, particularly when you don't know them or their circumstances.
Incidentally, since when was "I think you have to be very careful" telling you what to do and say ?

Again, I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say. I think its that you can make comments about others, but the rest of us can't respond to your comments. Is that correct ? If it is, I think you need to review what a forum is intended to do.
There are lots of people, myself included, who post on here after drinking. Sometimes its not wise, sometimes its funny. One thing its not, is an accusation. I was asking the question.
Ever got the feeling this is going nowhere.
