A bunch of us over in Ireland for the one dayer were discussing doing this. There is no away Test cricket scheduled between the Ashes and the West Indies tour in spring 2015. There's the World Cup of course, but the fact that it's being hosted in Australia and New Zealand makes it unaffordable for most people.

Sri Lanka is cheap place to get to, to stay, and to get around. I can see this one being quite popular, even with people who don't normally bother with one day cricket.

Flights this November are coming up at £510, visa is £35, plenty of Accom for £10 a night, on the downside 5 x ODI's & 2x T20's might mean a bit of moving about.

Nothing so far. Subcontinental boards don't tend to plan things very far ahead, so I'll be surprised if they're announced any time soon.

The FTP slot is early November to early December.

I wouldn't expect anything until next July at the earliest. Venues are likely to be Pallekele, Hambantota and Colombo. Galle now is reserved for test matches - assuming that SL play them again !

Despite there being nothing like the same numbers who will attend, the SL board will come up with some way to make those 'white' English who do so pay through the nose.
Despite it being plainly racist, neither the ICC or ECB will do anything about it (their matches, their rules old chap) Anyone with any sense will boycott it as the last possible chance to deter the SLCB from repeating their last scandalous discrimination against the English.
i fear that regardless, history will repeat itself and my last tour of SL, with England, has already transpired.

not going in large numbers to SL for this one might make the points:
- we weren't happy with the way we were treated last time
- we want to play and support test matches

What happened last time then? Was it the ticket prices or something else?

Cheers
