One thread is usually sufficient per question Dianne.
The FTP shows Nov -Dec and our last tour there at that time of year took us near to Xmas. Unlikely this time with 'only' seven one day games, but you can't tell at a distance and I wouldn't advise guessing.
Be aware, the weather took its toll quite a lot particularly later on in the day when most ODI's are played. That may seriously affect the outcomes of these games. The SL board won't be too worried because they will have already enforced pre-sales onto you at vastly higher prices than the locals, with only a slender chance of picking up tx any cheaper when you get there.
Enjoy.

According to an email I've just received from The Cricket Tour Company (and no, I don't travel with them) - the dates will be announced 'next week'.

I am sure you posted this in all good faith, and fair play to you. But always very dangerous to post messages like this. SL (and India) are notorious for waiting until the last minute before confirming itinaries. The SA tour in July was only confirmed a few weeks ago, and the Pakistan tour in August is agreed, but the itinerary is not confirmed. I suspect it will be a few weeks yet before the itinerary for the England tour is confirmed.

I hear what you're saying Mr Paedo (interesting name!) and I'm certainly not suggesting anyone books until everything is confirmed, just passing on what I heard.

The only company I've seen to have actually stated dates are this lot - www.livingwiththelions.co.uk/cricket/sr ... t-package/

I don't know where 'living with the lions' get their itinerary from. There is nothing on Cricinfo, nothing on the ECB site, and nothing on the SL cricket board site. I expect they will take the money from interested punters, then re-arrange the tour if the dates/venues change. Interesting that they quote the England/SA tour as being 3 tests ; I thought it was four ; and that the second test will be in Durban ; Cricket SA have already announced that they will play all Boxing day tests at PE in future.
By the way, my original message was written in a friendly way, I didn't expect to get a reply with a cheap insult !

It was taken in a friendly way.

Sorry, didn't mean my reply to be insulting, but surely having the name 'paedo' must attract comments.

Anyway, on to more important matters - yes, I'm sure these dates are bollx, I'm just keen for news, need to get time off sorted etc.

You are obviously still having a cheap shot. I can't believe you got the a and the e the wrong way round by accident. Sorry, I shan't reply to your messages again.
